Uncle Bob's Legacy

Uncle Bob's Journal

October, Sunday - Parade. Then stayed in room and slept -- Looking forward to Stevens dance.

October - I went to "Stevens", boy I had a swell time.   "Wales" met.  Joyce Merith and Jane Turner, Bob --- Beautifu women.   I wished Merle could have been there, he sure could have had a time.  There dances were very formal and a great deal like Dansants.  I don't believe I ever saw so many beautiful women in my life.  They sure did look smooth, and beautiful dresses.  I don't believe I shall ever forget how I grabbed Jane.  I sure was going good too.  Plenty of good looking girls tagged me.

October - The band & Corp had an election of officers.

October - Nothing special.  Had a hard drill.

October - I learned a new way to spell Rat - R - sir, A - sir, T - sir.  Also a little about leather.

October - Football game today got beat.  I don't care, though.   We sure fought hard.

October - Boy!  Did I ever tell a Sargeant where to head in today.  He took it too. Very unusual.

October - Cleo Bailey has been writing me regularly.  I wonder what she really thinks about me.

October - Heard about Strawn today.  I just about fell over.   She has less sense than I imagined.

October - First kick out,  No 2 for stealing out of Post office, I can't understand it (Potter).

October - Letter from stamplin today got the -- inside -- on Strawn some stuff.  But I am inclined to 'Not believe it.

October - I got a letter from Vella today.  I guess I shall go to KC yet.  Hope I have a good time.

October - Homecoming, sure were at lot of girls and do they ever look.  I am looking forward to dance.

October - Kemper dance last nite.  I didn't get stuck this time,  and really had a good time.  Joyce -- was my date.
