June 13, 1938

Dear Web-foot,

I received your passport today but I'll be unable to get the visas at this late date.   I'm about to go nuts.  Gentry and Huddleston have not received their passports and I have no idea where they are.  I've even wired Washington about them.  My friend, my parents are going to take us up to Boonesville the 21 and leave there the 24 for New York.  That will give us time to practice and enough time for me to express my drums to New York.

I am sending you an itinerary which you can give to your parents so they'll know where you'll be.  If any mail is to be sent to you it must be sent by airmail.  I'm also sending a book which might interest you.  Well, pal, I'll be expecting you and Gentry here the twentieth.

Yours Truly,
Bill
