Buck Snapp of MissouriVol 6, Iss 34 Missouri - quot;I am trying to find the Missouri antecedents of Buck Snapp, 1910, 1920 & 1930 Census Woods County, Oklahoma. I have extensive information on an Andrew J. 'Bunk' Snapp born in 1841 in Taney County, Missouri. I think the Bunk Snapp in the Oklahoma Censuses mentioned may be his son, but have been unable to establish the link. Do you have any suggestions as to how I might solve this riddle. Any help much appreciated." -- Glenn - Email: kgs4444@cablelynx.com View/Write Comments (count 0) | Receive updates (0 subscribers) | Unsubscribe Missouri POW CampsVol 6, Iss 45 Missouri - "I e-mailed you that I had ordered two books from Amazon.com re: POW camps, with one in particular entitled, The Enemy Among Us -- POWs in Missouri during World WarII? The other is Nazi Prisoners of War in America , by Arnold Krammer. I read the brief part in the first book re: my hometown (Louisiana, MO). Apparently prisoners came there to work at the Stark Bros. Nurseries (which I had forgotten), and the camp wasn't operative very long. I haven't had a chance to read anything further. Shall look forward to learning more as time permits." -- Carolyn Allen - Email: bunglerye@charter.net View/Write Comments (count 0) | Receive updates (0 subscribers) | Unsubscribe Wrought Iron Range CoVol 5, Iss 18 Missouri - "We recently purchased a home in a small town. In the basement is a Wrought Iron Range Co. cook stove, No. AB. I've tried to find information on it's value, but your web site was the closest I could find. I would really appreciate any information you may have on the year it may have been produced or it's value, or possible you may know where I could find this info. Thank you so much for your time. Please e-mail me." -- donimiller@hotmail.com. I was a little girl, and I remember both German and Italian prisoners were housed there, just a few blocks from my home. I find it fascinating that so little has apparently been written about these camps, or at least that I'm aware of. Would like to learn more." -- Carolyn Allen - Email: Bunglerye@charter.net.
