A Grandfather's Legacy

William Jacob McGill
The Teacher, Son & Baseball Player

This photo is a picture of my grandad (Bill 'Will ' McGill). This is his mother and father posing in front of their homestead.

Wm Jacob McGill's father, William Pearson McGILL was born 23 March 1835, Grayson, Tennessee (or in Soddy, Tennesee). WP died 28 August 1918, and is buried in cemetery in Alva, Oklahoma.

Wm P. McGill married 20 November 1861 to Isabelle McClure Johnson (WJ McGill's mother). Isabelle was born 12 September 1845, and died 14 May 1926, and is buried in cemetery in Alva, Oklahoma. Belle's family were the hardware Johnsons of Dayton, Tennesee.
