Austin won both games of a doubleheader, from the Hoodoos yesterday, both by a score of one to nothing. The first melee went eleven innings before a decision was given finally. In the opening conflict, Robb and Bill Bailey were the opposing slab artists. Bailey pitched a better game than Robb, but at that the Sorrell Top one had the Senators on his hip up to the fatal eleventh. In that inning two hits by the Senators and some dumb playing by the locals allowed the Legislators to win the game. In the second melee, Harris was on the slab for the locals and McGill decorated the rifle pit for the visitors. Both pitched good games, but Harris was unfortunate in having the team behind him playing very bad and running bases as if they had on lead shoes. It was heartrending in both contests to see the way that the Senators devoured the Hoodoos when ever the latter reached the bases. The locals not only ran bases like amatuers and made dumb plays, but they wielded their willow wands at the wierd wafts served by the opposing pitchers, like they were using feather dusters instead of war clubs. The box scores fail to show the many dumb occurrences in the Hoodoo fielding department. With all the dumb plalying of the locals there were several fine catches in the field. Fisher made a beautiful stab of a high one and Dutch Paulig speared two hot grounders that Short sent down the third base line. Houston comes today for three days. The game this afternoon will begin at 4:30. Bunton will go on the slab for the Hoodoos. First Game --
